Jeffrey Allen Price called #1 Remarkable Person at Hofstra University by Pulse Magazine

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

“Potato Guy (Professor Jeffrey Allen Price), Creating, carving and molding one of America’s favorite vegetables”

I was very surprised and honored to be listed as the ‘#1 Remarkable Person at Hofstra University’ by Pulse Magazine in the 30 Most Remarkable People, Spring 2009 issue.  Mostly surprised, as I was informed after only four weeks on the job at Hofstra teaching Art History classes for them!  A photograph of me wearing my Potato MASQ is featured on the cover, and an interview and photograph by Jacqueline Hlavenka can be found on page 6.

Copies of the magazine are available on Hofstra University campus.

You can see an excerpt of the interview, “Potato Guy” on the Pulse Magazine website.

You may find a the full interview on the Reviews Page of this website.

Back Cover of River Styx ‘Readable Feast’ Double Issue #76/77

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

Happy to see my “Veggie Bacon” drawing reproduced on the back of the new River Styx’s ‘A Readable Feast’,  Double issue 76/77.  River Styx is a great literary and arts magazine published out of St. Louis. This issue is all about food and besides being featured on the back cover, there are half-a-dozen drawings of mine scattered throughout the inside as well as my humorist’s potato recipe: “A Recipe for Disaster + Price’s Perfect (Sacrificial) Baked Potato”. There were a couple of typos in the printing of my recipe, so I have provided a link to the full text in a Note on my Facebook profile, if anyone would like to read it.

If you are interested in obtaining a copy of the magazine, please order directly from www.riverstyx.org.

There is a very favorable review of the issue here:
