American Potato Artists’ Summit, Chicago, IL–March 1, 2008

Saturday, March 1st, 2008

On March 1, 2008 there occurred the First Annual American Potato Artists Summit at Caro D’Offay Gallery in Chicago, IL. The meeting was an overwhelming success, as J.A.P. of Think Potato and Eric of Uber Tuber Enterprises met for the first time in person, and discussed plans for another Potato Art World Tour. Afterward, they exchanged starchy memorabilia over mashed potatoes and french fries while sharing potato love stories. The rest of the weekend was full of auspicious potato omens, too many to be mere coincidences.

We would like to thank Caro D’Offay for the enthusiastic offer to host one of our events later this year. You can see my Cult of Potato statue (shown in the center background of this picture), on view at Caro D’Offay Gallery through the end of the month.
